How to Make a Pup Painted Dog Portrait at Home
Feel inspired and want to make your own pup-painted dog portrait? Here is a simple step-by-step guide.

A picture frame with glass or acrylic

A printed photo of your dog

Black acrylic paint marker

White paint marker for highlights and eye details

Craft paint in multiple colors

Gallon-size zip-lock bag

Spreadable dog treats like: peanut butter, baby food, or canned dog food
Step-by-Step Instructions
Draw the Portrait
Place your photo behind the glass and outline your pup using a black acrylic marker. Add white accents for the eyes or fun details.
Flip the Glass
Turn the glass around so you are working on the back side to protect the drawing.

Add Paint
Drop different colors of paint onto the back of the glass.

Carefully slide the glass into a gallon zip-lock bag.

Spread tasty dog treats on the outside of the bag so your pup can lick and move the paint underneath.
