PUPPY HEADSTART training is to get your puppy headed in the right direction. We encourage good behavior before problems start and promote a strong bond with your puppy. We offer a great variety of puppy programs that can fit ANY budget.

Puppy Group Classes are for puppies 8 weeks to 5 months who have had at least one series of vaccines and have been in your home for at least 7 days. Small breed puppies may stay in puppy class longer than age 5 months if deemed best by the trainer.
We introduce basic behaviors: come to your name, sit and stay. We encourage healthy play and bite inhibition.
Class provides early socialization with people and other dogs.
Learn grooming, handling, & relaxation techniques. Puppy Play Time is always fun. We introduce safe low obstacles to investigate, crawl over or through. Confidence building with introduction to new noises, textures, & experiences. It all ends with a short puppy play time supervised by skilled instructors.
Risk of disease is lowered due to only having enrolled students at the classroom. Our location does not have unknown dogs that you might find in a park or pet store environment.
This group class is designed as single classes OR a series. Classes are 1 hour long. Come once and move on to beginning obedience or come several times before moving on to the next level.
You can mix and match days/times. Come Wed one week, Sat another, just notify the instructor of which days you plan to attend.

Puppies begin learning at birth and their brains appear to be particularly responsive to learning and retaining experiences that are encountered during the first 13 to 16 weeks after birth.
Many veterinarians are making this early socialization and learning program part of a total wellness plan. To take full advantage of this early special learning period, many veterinarians recommend that new owners take their puppies to puppy socialization classes, beginning at 8 to 9 weeks of age. At this age they should have (and can be required to have) received a minimum of their first series of vaccines for protection against infectious diseases.
